Punch Drunk joined Futurist Agency to provide live production support support for Coinbase's "Update the System Summit" in 2024. Dozens of industry leaders, strategists, CEOs, founders, and elected officials gathered to discuss the state of crypto and its significance throughout the country.
We handled the technical production in conjunction with in-house AV from the venue. Onsite, we built a meticulous run-of-show and coordinated the minute-by-minute program with our counterparts at Futurist Agency.
Our seven-person team managed a multi-camera broadcast setup, slide and video playback, and live streaming to YouTube. We designed the live camera and streaming system as well as playback systems that ingested design assets and rendered them simultaneously for the remote viewers online and the huge LED wall behind the panelists.
The in-house LED wall system required precise sizing and layout of graphics to correctly hydrate both the main LED wall on stage and three horizontal header panels that cascade into the event space.
Equipment and crew traveled in from multiple cities to converge in Washington, DC for the Summit. Our partners at LiveX provided cameras, switchers, video infrastructure, and additional crew. Deliverables included the full day live stream, program recording, and isolated camera recordings.
Fun fact: rental car agencies often don't allow you to return your vehicle to a different location from where you picked it up.
Tune in on 3.20 for the #UpdateTheSystem Summit in DC, where industry leaders, such as Brian Armstrong, Faryar Shirzad and Marc Andreessen discuss how crypto is moving money, and America, forward.
