Before the show began, we designed motion graphic content for daily show schedules on angled flat panels mounted at the entryway. We also pulled a rabbit out of our hat and within 36hrs sourced two 108″ plasma screens (weighting 3/4 of a ton each) to augment The Weeknd’s set, along with all the logistics to get them in and out of the space in the middle of SXSW.
During the three show days we continued to create content on-the-fly for branded displays and playback, mixed VJ sets, and provided iMag camera coverage for all the bands. Punch Drunk helped design and implement a video system for the main stage featuring two high-resolution LED video walls and a network of flat panel screens throughout the venue.
Say Ok was enlisted to create a dynamic cultural experience during SXSW showcasing YouTube’s upcoming “YouTube for Artists” feature. Held at the iconic Coppertank downtown, 16 bands played in two days followed by a private event for YouTube creators and VIP’s. Performers included Future Islands, Marina and the Diamonds, The Weeknd, The War On Drugs, and Snoop Dogg to name a few.
