In the era before high-def, 4:3 video reigned supreme. Screens were practically square. Video was analog over composite instead of digital over SDI.
It was during this pre-HD adolescence that we found ourselves mixing live IMAG video for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis for the second time that year, and loving every minute of it.
The concert was by far Macklemore’s biggest headliner show, with a sold out crowd of 7,500 fans. Four days before his concert, Macklemore released “The Heist,” which took the number one spot on iTunes for four straight days — the first time in iTunes history an independent artist has reached the number one album spot.
