The Woodland Park Zoo's annual "Jungle Party" fundraiser was the first truly hybrid virtual event in the 2021 season in the Pacific Northwest. Hybrid because it served two audiences simultaneously in equal measures: several hundred people at the Zoo in a live audience plus hundreds more tuning in virtually through YouTube. Both audiences participated in the auction and fundraising efforts live, alongside each other in real time.
Punch Drunk provided all the cameras, video switching, remote infrastructure, and produced both the in-person show and online live broadcast. Fred Northup and Matt Lorch hosted the event, ELN created the content, and AVMS provided the live sound and video projection.
