For the May 2020 Chromebook Launch Event, Punch Drunk collaborated with Dreamtek to deliver a high-impact virtual broadcast for partners HP, Intel, and Google. With live events halted by COVID-19 restrictions, this project represented a unique and timely solution, demonstrating how creative production could adapt to the challenges of remote collaboration and still deliver a broadcast-quality experience.
This project stood out during the pandemic as an innovative virtual solution, seamlessly blending remote production, executive presence, and polished visuals to create a launch event that felt every bit as dynamic and engaging as an in-person production.
The video above is a B-Roll string-out showcasing the product video and motion graphics we created as part of the project. This footage was produced first, then used in the overall composite video, which used this and other material to thread together a conversation between Andy Rhodes (HP), Chris Walker (Intel), and John Solomon (Google). Screenshots below include images from the product B-Roll shoot, motion graphics, behind-the-scenes, and screenshots from the final composited piece which was used for the public-facing product launch.
