We were thrilled to join Vangard Events for a huge bash celebrating the launch of Windows 10 on the Microsoft campus in August. The festivities included an ice bucket challenge featuring CEO Satya Nadella and a performance by hometown heroes Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.
As reported by GeekWire, a number of Microsoft employees, used Twitter to post up images and video clips from the company event. The event featured a free performance from rap stars Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, who are based in neighboring Seattle. Indeed, the Macklemore song “Can’t Hold Us” was used in 2013 by Microsoft as the TV commercial theme song for the launch of its Outlook.com email service.
