Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival 2013

In 2011, Punch Drunk worked with Bumbershoot to rock their main stage with artists like Macklemore, Hall & Oates, and Ray LaMontagne. We took a year off in 2012 to spend a few epic weeks at Burning Man, but returned in 2013 to provide live iMag video at all three main stages plus two VIP areas.

We created a perfect balance of robotic PTZ cameras, fixed POV cameras, and live-manned cameras at the Key Arena, Fisher Green, and Fountain Lawn stages to deliver a powerful show for every act during the 3-day festival run.

In addition to live iMag and artist video support, we brought the concerts to two VIP areas via thousands of meters of fiber optic cable. In the artist lounge, you could watch any of the 3 main stages in real-time (with audio) at the push of a button on huge ruggedized LCD panels. We also provided live video support for the Mayor’s Arts Awards and worked with main stage headliner Bassnectar to setup their complex live video system.

During the week-long run up to the event, our Rockstar shooter Amber video documented the entire setup process of the festival, and during the actual festival we shot time-lapse on 5 stages of all the performances.
