At CHBP's 20th Anniversary, Punch Drunk collaborated with IMI Productions to web stream the entire show for 3 days with on-air hosts and artist interviews. We also demoed our ATEM Automator system live on stage.

Overview

In 2016, Capitol Hill Block Party dipped its toes in the electronic waters of web streaming. IMI Productions came on board to provide on-air hosts and artist interviews in a secondary live studio location we built together.

This was networked with our primary broadcast truck to provide all the live video mixing and IMAG concurrent to this webstream.

Our IMAG feed was sent to the roof of Neumo's, where the team from Sensebellum fed it to projectors for a late night visuals show across the neighboring buildings for the evening performances.

Live experiments with ATEM Automation

We demoed Punch Drunk's ATEM Automator system at CHBP 2016, using our custom-developed autopilot application to extrapolate a beat from the live audio feed and then send commands to the ATEM switcher for a totally automated, hands-free robotic technical director experience.
