We launched StreamTimer in 2018, the first web application we made public. It was created to fill a dire need in web streams to show the audience a countdown clock indicating when the event would start, but a clock that would countdown to a pre-specified start time rather than a set duration that would require precise triggering in the control room.
In addition to the basic countdown clock function, we added a URL loader and fullscreen capabilities so that a StreamTimer link could be created and distributed well in advance of a show, and even in advance of the streaming destination being built or configured. The StreamTimer URL would be sufficient to distribute in the days, weeks, or months before an event, where the final event URL could be added literally minutes before show time.
