We're So Green
In 2012, the city of Seattle began working on a “Climate Action Plan” to address long-term sustainability and environmental goals. From the SeattleCAN.org site:
Seattle is leading the change toward a green future. Our goal is to be carbon neutral by 2050. We’re writing a new Climate Action Plan to put us on the path toward that goal. The steps we take will also make our city a prosperous, equitable and all-around-great place to live.
As the plan neared completion, its author, the OSE (Office of Sustainability and Environment) realized they needed some creative ways to talk to the public about it. Frequent Punch Drunk collaborator and production partner Capitol Media brought us on board with OSE to write and produce this animated spot: “We’re So Green.”
The project was helmed by Capitol Media, and on the Punch Drunk side the piece with co-produced and co-directed by Jacob Stone and Jessica Aceti, animated by Tom Deslongchamp, and the original song was composed by Chris Ballew of Caspar Babypants and The Presidents of the United States of America.
