Cube -ahem- Triangle Taps FTW
Sometimes it isn’t the big or expensive items that save the day here at Punch Drunk. Sometimes, it’s the little things that matter. Today we pay homage to the triangle tap.
Coming in at around $5 USD a piece, these little guys have saved us so much headache over the years. We often find ourselves in the position of running power to a camera (or other expensive gear) and then realize that we need more than one outlet. When a power strip or surge protector won’t do, we go to the triangle tap.
Small, lightweight, and easily fits in your pocket. The triangle tap comes in an assortment of colors. We use orange because these suckers are super easy to lose in a sea of black gear. But they come in black for all your stagehand chic. Also these guys are great at fitting all those clunky wall warts that come on the ends of cables. Warning: They aren’t always allowed inside indoor venues (hotels and conference centers) so check with your local house power guy before deployment.
